[ultimate_heading main_heading=”About” heading_tag=”h3″ alignment=”left” main_heading_style=”font-weight:bold;” main_heading_margin=”margin-bottom:30px;” margin_design_tab_text=””]After being awarded the position of contracted provider of event medical services for all events at Yankee Stadium in 1989, Dr. Bazos founded Sports & Entertainment Physicians, PC, which has since grown to become CrowdRx. In addition to continuing his role for Yankee Stadium, Dr. Bazos and CrowdRx have served in a similar capacity at Madison Square Garden since 1991 and the US Open Tennis Championships since 2011. The CrowdRx team also covers Radio City Music Hall and the Beacon Theatre, two more Manhattan landmarks. In addition, Dr. Bazos serves as Tournament Physician at the Big East Basketball Championships.

As co-author of numerous research projects on event medical services and a noted presenter at international conferences, Dr. Bazos is recognized as a leading expert on the subject. Serving as an unofficial ambassador for health and safety at electronic dance music (EDM) festivals, he advocates for non-security related measures that have been successful in Europe: harm-reduction and medical care. Dr. Bazos institutes and promotes processes and procedures that continue to evolve with the EDM industry.

Dr. Bazos is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. He is a partner at Western Connecticut Orthopedic Specialists, PC, and since 1993, serves as an Associate Clinical Professor of Orthopedic Surgery in the Sports Medicine Department at NYU-Hospital for Joint Diseases in New York City, where he maintains operating privileges and keeps office hours.

He earned a degree with honors in biochemistry and molecular biology from Harvard University and graduated from Yale University School of Medicine. Following a general surgery internship at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City, he completed his residency training at Columbia-Presbyterian’s New York Orthopedic Hospital. Since that time, Dr. Bazos completed a fellowship in Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy at NYU-Hospital for Joint Diseases in New York City.[/ultimate_heading]
