As co-author of numerous research projects on event medical services and a noted presenter at international conferences, Dr. Bazos is recognized as a leading expert on the subject. Serving as an unofficial ambassador for health and safety at electronic dance music (EDM) festivals, he advocates for non-security related measures that have been successful in Europe: harm-reduction and medical care. Dr. Bazos institutes and promotes processes and procedures that continue to evolve with the EDM industry.
Dr. Bazos is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. He is a partner at Western Connecticut Orthopedic Specialists, PC, and since 1993, serves as an Associate Clinical Professor of Orthopedic Surgery in the Sports Medicine Department at NYU-Hospital for Joint Diseases in New York City, where he maintains operating privileges and keeps office hours.
He earned a degree with honors in biochemistry and molecular biology from Harvard University and graduated from Yale University School of Medicine. Following a general surgery internship at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City, he completed his residency training at Columbia-Presbyterian’s New York Orthopedic Hospital.
